Click here on the Resources link at Kentucky Reentry and you will find work-skills training opportunities for many Kentucky counties.
Just scroll down to choose "job skills" and then scroll down in the next panel to choose your county. Then click the SEARCH Button and you will find many organizations and schools, training centers and colleges with work skills programs for those in reentry. Call the phone number listed for your county to get more help and information. |
Workplace Essential Skills - FREE Video Series.
This Kentucky Educational Television video series explains and shows workplace/job skills in action. You can view these online at no cost. The Orientation video gives you an overview of the entire series and you can then choose the programs that will help you the most as you prepare to re-enter employment. Goodwill Works Kentucky
Goodwill Works Kentucky helps motivated job seekers who need a second chance to participate in the workforce. Through partnerships with employers across the state – as well as an intensive program that matches job seekers with long-term career coaches – Goodwill connects you with meaningful opportunities to work. Goodwill Soft Skills Academy Goodwill is partnering with employers who offer full-time hours, health insurance and other benefits. Those who go through the Soft Skills Academy training have special access to Goodwill staff if you have a problem on the job. When you attend the Goodwill Soft Skills Academy you are trained in team building, dependability, attitude, safety, conflict resolution and self-presentation.
