Mentoring
You can benefit from the encouragement and support a mentor provides as you re-enter your community.
|
As a returning citizen, you need help –
help getting a place to live, finding a job, getting health care, reconnecting with your family and finding other support services in the community. Having a mentor will give you the support and information you need to find helpful, reliable, up-to-date resources. |
At Mission Behind Bars and Beyond (MB3) we help to reconnect families, provide support, and mentor returning citizens during their first year of release.
Your mentor helps by listening and by helping you to solve problems. Volunteers serve as positive role models, encouraging you and helping you to restore positive relationships with your family and community. Click here to contact MB3 about getting a Mentor. |
Vince Patton explains why and how he became a mentor. He comments on how mentors help people transitioning from incarceration as they return to their communities.

Expungement Process |
The Reily Reentry Project facilitates the expungement process and covers most, if-not-all, related fees at no expense. In exchange, participants are asked to enroll in any Louisville Urban League program that will equip them with the tools they need to be more successful as they move into more prosperous futures.
